Qualifying as a member of the Growth 25 is sure to have a dramatic impact on your future, but it is a challenging goal that requires commitment and determination. One Associate “on the move” toward becoming a member of the Growth 25 who embody these characteristics is 5-Star Diamond Director Lynn Allen-Johnson. Let her story inspire you if you face setbacks and obstacles on your way to the life of your dreams:
Lynn Allen-Johnson decided to push herself and her USANA business to the limits and advance to a 3-Star Diamond Director. As if becoming a 3-Star Diamond was not impressive enough, she soon set her sights on becoming a 5-Star Diamond Director and shortly thereafter, reached this goal.
Lynn was content in her life as a Diamond Director. It wasn’t until attending the USANA Celebration in San Antonio that Lynn knew she had to make a change. After speaking with Jeff Smith, the current president of the Independent Distributor Council, Lynn had second thoughts about her business. Jeff told her, “Lynn, this is not about you. Think of all the people that won’t be helped; think of all the lives that won’t be changed if you quit now. You can’t quit. You have work to do, so go out there and do it.”
“I was so fired up when I talked to him that I came home and said, ‘He’s right. This isn’t about me, it’s about a difference I can make in people’s lives,’” Lynn says. “I have a responsibility to do that, and so I came home and made a decision.”
After speaking with her husband Lynn decided she was playing too small, and not living up to the potential she had to help Dr. Wentz get his vision out to the world. She decided then and there that, “life as we know it right now is over, and for the next 18 months this is what we are going to be doing. We agreed that it was a price we were willing to pay, and it was time for me to go back to work. And that is what I did,” she says.
First hitting 3-Star Diamond Director and then pushing herself a little more, Lynn recently moved her distributorship to a 5-Star Diamond Director status. “Momentum is absolutely key, and I plan on taking advantage of it by owning it, by being right there in the middle of it,” Lynn says. “For me, the momentum is going to be created right now. We are working as hard as we have ever worked as a team—we’re together three and four nights a week, training and sponsoring.” Lynn is creating huge momentum up until convention by making sure every single person on her team, when they sign their application, know that they are going to Salt Lake, in September.
Don’t expect Lynn to slow down any time soon. “I never imagined that I would be this high. Now I am looking at this on a whole different level, and I’m building it with a whole new level of intensity than before,” she says. “I am going to be a 10-Star or a 12-Star—they are going to be creating new pins for who I am.”
