Dr. Denis Waitley has encouraged USANA Associates to find their “why” as the first step on their paths to success. Jeannie Blocher didn’t know it, but she had her “why” even before she began her journey with USANA. As president of Body & Soul Ministries, Jeannie was a fierce advocate for health and fitness. When she was introduced to USANA in August of 2002 and began taking the products, her “why” took form, and she felt obligated to share her discovery with all her friends and colleagues. “What a blessing it is to see my friends and fellow fitness professionals get stronger and healthier, setting examples for their students to lead lives of both spiritual and physical fitness!” Jeannie beams. “I love helping people. That is my ‘why’.” It was this passion for sharing USANA that propelled Jeannie to the level of top-ten Achiever in time for the 2004 international convention.
Jeannie’s efforts began to take effect closer to home, and her husband Roy was inspired to lose weight and accompany her to the 2004 convention. Up until that time he had been quite successful in government work, winning the 2004 Attorney General’s Award for IT Excellence. But as he began to experience the positive effects of his dramatic weight loss, he realized that he had the opportunity to help others as well, and he soon adopted Jeannie’s “why” as his own. “In USANA, every day matters. I get out of bed knowing what I do that day will impact the lives of people for generations to come. To see people trapped in fat bodies like I was or dealing with diabetes or other diseases hurts me. I can’t just leave them there.”
This inspiring couple have proven the validity of Dr. Waitley’s words; they have followed their “why” and are now in the running to be one of the first members of the new Growth 25. “Dr. Wentz’ vision through USANA has given me the greatest gift of all—hope,” Roy says. “I have my health back and I have a life of purpose.
